White beaked Dolphins were the highlight today with 20+ moving south, 79 Manxies and 9 Arctic Terns passed but little else of note
With Minke Whales to the north around the Farne Islands and 6 off Filey I fancied my chances of finding one off Whitburn on a nice flat calm sea. It was a cetacean day but the Minke will have to wait. I picked up my first White beaked Dolphins at 04.45 and they moved south till 05.40 with some breaching. Later looking well south off Seaham i could see half a dozen easily
Birds took a back seat and i probably missed a few while i tracked the Dolphins
