pass the bottlenose

14 Bottllenose Dolphins,Red necked Grebe, and 18 Barnacle Geese were the highlights past Whitburn Obs this morning. Its always exciting to watch Dolphins and we have had plenty of White beaked this year so it was a nice surprise when i picked up this pod moving south to see they were Bottlenose.I have only ever seen small parties before of 2 or 3 so 14 maybe more was fantastic. They were close inshore along the flag line and were watched moving south for half an hour. I managed some video so will post it on my youtube channel after I've edited it
Away from the Dolphins things were a bit quieter for birds. Yesterday over 100 Skuas passed the Obs today none. This is what we did see in order of appearance....oh i was joined by Stoney,Hoggie, Millsie and a few others
