hard times

17 Red throated Divers, 3 Sandwich Terns and 12 Canada Geese passed Whitburn Obs early morning.
A brisk westerly and bright sun were not ideal conditions for a sea watch but i managed a short one before work today and was joined by Stevie Howart
This is what we saw by 07.30 in order of appearance. I left Steve in charge

Tuesday 17th September 06.10-07.30 W4 bright sun

Cormorant 47s
Black h Gull 26n 14s
Curlew 1n
Sandwich Tern 1n 2s
Canada Goose 12s
Red th Diver 1n 16s
Common Scoter 2n

Plenty of Black headed Gulls were getting in the Obs fields before flying inland but i couldnt pick out the Bonaparts this morning
