Batten down the hatches

Sooty Shearwater,3 Little Gulls and a juv Med Gull passed Whitburn Obs on today's early sea watch.The Indian summer is gone and a blasting south westerly is busy shaking up the birds in the north sea.Magic Mark beat me in today.It was very cold and i must remember my gloves and scarf next time. The Bonaparte's was seen in fields near the Obs yesterday so we were checking all the gulls but no sign early morning. My first Pink Feet of the year south and a good selection of birds made for an interesting watch
