4 Little Auks and 2 Great northern Divers passed Whitburn Obs by 11this morning. I was joined by Magic and Saint Mark, Boy Wonder and Stoney was in the house. A Woodcock was picked up coming in off but ditched onto the sea only a couple of hundred meters from the shore. Not a sight any of us had witnessed before, it must have just been exhausted. It flew a short distance again later but sadly was eventually consumed as breakfast by a Greater Black Backed Gull
