Balearic Shearwater and 3 Arctic Skuas passed Whitburn Obs by 7 o'clock this morning. The forecast was for quite heavy rain from 4am so i wasn't sure how much of a sea watch i would get and carried my big brolly to the obs with me. Thankfully the rain never came and i had a much better sea watch than yesterdays poor show
The Balearic Shearwater was my first of the year and with good numbers of birds moving and Dolphins on show i had a fantastic watch
