too little too late

Roseate Tern and a Little Gull went south past Whitburn obs by 10 o'clock. It was a short watch for me today as i had my BTO breeding bird survey to do on the moors at first light. I joined Magic Mark and Stevie Thunder at 7.30 and these are a few of the sightings from then. I didn't miss much apart from an Arctic Skua. Too little too late refers to a bird i saw going north that i noticed had a short stout black bill but wasn't able to nail the plumage id as it was already well north..............
This is what i saw in order of appearance
