An Iceland Gull went south past Whitburn Obs early morning. A stiff south westerly encouraged a movement of Gulls and Terns and with sea watching the more time you put in the more chance you have of some quality birds and today it was the Iceland Gull, continuing our excellent run this year. Black headed Gulls are back with a vengeance and over 500 Sandwich Terns went south by far the largest count of the year
