Roseate, 7 Arctic, 28 Common and 187 Sandwich Terns went south past Whitburn Obs early morning. Yes the terns are heading south and not returning. This mornings movement of Sandwich Terns was in two forms. Small groups flying south fast and low and family groups feeding and moving south slowly. Not much else this morning a nice peaceful start to the week, lets hope it picks up. Here's what i saw in order of appearance
